Elgin and Marjorie Bennett opened their store in 1939.  Bennett's Department Store has been a true and trusted part of the Wiarton business community for over 65 years. Many things in the area have changed over the years, but one thing has stayed consistent - - - Bennett's Old Fashion Department Store.

The Shaw family took over Bennett's in June of 1999 with the goal of preserving Bennett's Store in the same old fashioned manner that customers have come to know and respect.

Charlene and Allan and their children, Matt and Tanya, all take an interest in the running of the Store.
